I loved The Hunger Games but...

There were a few issues.

In the book the trackers go into the Tributes left arms, in the movie- the right. I guess it doesn't really matter plot wise, it was just something I noticed.

In the movie Katniss doesn't go deaf in her left ear and Peeta doesn't loose his leg- both ailments that matter in the second book.

Katniss gets her pin from the unnamed Hob woman in the movie but in the book she gets it from her kind of friend Madge. That will matter in the second book too because of Madge's Aunt.

In the book, the flowers Katniss puts around Rue are Yellow and again, in book two this matters during Peetas alone time with the game makers.

No avox girl, no sleeping potion, no scary eyes on the mutts, very little love in the cave.

Being a lover of the book it was great to have visuals from the movie, and the movie was very well made. The little bit of Video Production knowledge I have could see the lighting and filters strategically put into some scenes to make the pages of the book actually come to life! (for me anyway).

Overall I loved it, but I hope the things they left out in this movie don't impact the second too much.

Valentines Day the Sequal 2012

What is the deal with Valentines Day?

I don't need one day a year to tell my boyfriend that I actually care about him.

This year we were unable to spend the actual day together, so we compensated by having our Valentines Day last night!

I cooked a fabulous (if I do say so myself) dinner for him. Steak, Lobster Pie, Asparagus, Rice Pilaf and Rolls.

We exchanged gifts, I got an ice cream maker and see below and I got him a Beer of the Month club and some little joke gifts.

The only difference between Valentines day and any other day for us is we buy each other presents.

I wish I had enough money to buy him a present everyday, because he really is a wonderful man! <3

Half of my flowers (the rest are at home), & half of my chocolates (the rest are also at home). I would have brought my ice cream maker to work but I don't think there's room for it on my desk!

I watch too many shows

Sunday:
Desperate Housewives (Ending after this season)
Pan Am (There have been rumors of cancellation, but I hope not!)
True Blood (Only in the summer)
Mad Men (Usually in the summer)
Dirty Soap (Will it be back for a second season? I hope so!)

Monday:
Gossip Girl (I wish Blair and Chuck would get together already!)
Hart of Dixie (I don't actually watch this, I listen to it while I work out)
Pretty Little Liars/ Secret Life (Both are on ABC Family Monday's at 8 but at different times during the year)

Tuesday:
90210 (I watched the original with my parents, how can I not watch the remake?)
New Girl (I could on for days about my love of this show. I'll save it for a later post!)

Wednesday:
One Tree Hill (Ending this season)

Thursday:
Greys Anatomy & Private Practice- (I got hooked on Greys thanks to a friend and then PP spawned off it! Meredith and Derek are finally happy, but jeez Shonda Rimes, couldn't you give Addison a baby already?)
The Big Bang Theory (When I don't have class I run of the treadmill during this, 30 minutes isn't enough Sheldon but it's enough exercise!)

Friday and Saturday- are usually the days when I actually get to watch them all! I work full time and go to school what is considered full time (2 graduate classes a week). I've taken to fast forwarding through what seem like boring parts and don't even get me started on the soap operas. I'm a fan of General Hospital and The Young & The Restless but there just isn't enough time to watch them all! Now I just read the daily updates so I feel like I watched and I still DVR them so if the daily update was really awesome I can still watch.

I hate to say this, but thank god at least two of these are going off the air, and thank god 2 or 3 of them are on during the summer. I have an addictive personality- one episode and I'm hooked.

I feel like this is how people see me. Isn't it ironic that I was named after her?

The (pin)Wheel

Remember how exciting it was to get a pinwheel when you were a kid? I had an exceptional pinwheel experience. My mom had a convertible so I would sit in the back and watch it twirl as she drove, come to a slow down at red lights and start twirling like crazy when we would start driving again.

Sometimes they would break and it was terribly depressing (for a few minutes) but on occasion my dad could figure out how to temporarily fix it.

When I was 9 or 10 I got an American Girl Doll craft book that went with my doll, Molly, and I learned how to make my own pinwheels! That was fun because then I got to decide what color and put stickers on them and such.

Now I'm an old lady who hasn't been in the possession of a pinwheel for years. But a few days ago I found this great shirt on hellogiggles. I actually felt childhood coming back to me when I got dressed this morning! (ps, hows my hair?)

It all started with a necklace

Well really it all started the day I was born, but for all intents and purposes, it was the day I found this necklace.

I have always been a happy person, a little high strung and anxious but always happy. I love life, even the crappy parts of it.

I've been running around Massachusetts for 22 years, 315 days, 14 hours, and 20 minutes, being happy about everything!

One day while browsing on Etsy I found this necklace and thought, "wow, that is how I think!", come to find out its a quote from my all time favorite of all favorite actress' Audrey Hepburn! I had to have it.

20 of so dollars later and a trip from Norway to Dracut and it was mine. When I wear it I am happy, I feel like nothing will get in my way. So here I am, blogging about how happy I am and I'm going to be doing so on a regular basis because if I can make one other person smile than it will have been a good day!
